Yide Hotel, Pingyao, a Chinese typical courtyard-style hotel, was the former residence of a wealthy merchant. It was firstly built in 1736 during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The hotel is composed of six small yards, respectively, upper yard, lower yard, study room, carriage and horse yard, ancestral temple and a garden.
